MY NEW DAILY PROSPECT WATCH: DeMarco Murray - RB - SOONERS

I will be posting little quick hits daily about some of the most intriguing prospects heading into the combine craziness.

The first featured NFL prospect is DeMarco Murray. With the Cedric Benson contract issue being up in the air due the CBA madness I have been researching more running backs that fit into Jay Gruden's West Coast offense. There are a few solid options in rounds 2-4 other than the trendy LeShoure pick.

DeMarco Murray set the college football highlight reels on fire when healthy playing for the Sooners in the big 12. Murray racked up 3,685 Career Rushing Yards and 4.8 yards per carry in college. I think he has shown the ability needed to be a featured back at the next level. DeMarco flashes scary speed when hitting holes turning the average run into a huge play using his size and quickness. Murray has great hands out of the back field with 1,571 career receiving yards to show for his pass catching abilities. This shows DeMarco could play a big role in a west coast style offense.

Just wanted to see what my fellow Bengals draft nerds think about the possibility of the Bengals taking Murray in round 3?

Check out his impressive highlight reel.
