Jan 29th the date that will tell us BRATS fate!

Marvin Lewis & the Bengals staff will be coaching the North team on January 29th during the 62nd Senior Bowl. The Bengals have coached the North team twice, in 2004 and 2009. Both times they took several players that they scouted during the Senior Bowl. Getting another chance to coach this game is a big time bonus. The Bengals will get an up close and personal look at this talented group of players looking to impress the army of NFL scouts attending. Take a look at the impressive list of players taking part in the Senior Bowl this year.

This date of Jan 29th is significant for another huge reason to the Bengals faithful. Many of my fellow Bengals fans are dying to hear the news or no news concerning Bob Bratkowski. In my honest opinion if Bratkowski is still the offensive coordinator at this point of the off season he is going to keep his job yet another season. There is no reason to believe that Mike Brown or Marvin Lewis would want a coach to take part in this process if he in not going to be involved with the organization moving forward.

The same man has been pulling the string of the offense since 2001! That is crazy considering that the Bengal have only reached the playoffs twice in this span with an abundance of talent on the offensive side of the ball. Something has to give Mr. Brown there needs to be a change made ASAP. A new playbook and philosophy on that side of the ball would spark enthusiasm for the players in the locker room and not to mention the fans. Change is good especially when you are coming off a very disappointing 4-11 season.
