I hope Peter King is on point!

With the recent Marvin Lewis interview that aired last Friday on the NFL Network it appears that Carson's retirement threats will be tested. We all know Mike Brown is a stubborn man and rarely looses a mexican stand off just ask Chad. Then the news came out that the Bengals interviewed all of the top QB prospects at the combine with Mike Brown sitting in on every interview. This is just further proof Carson’s days as a NFL QB may be numbered if his trade request falls on deaf ears. I will say I believe that the majority of Bengals fans just want the team to get something in return for Palmer. Why let him retire and get nothing in return when we could send the 2 time AFC North champion to a team willing to make a deal?

The big news today is sports illustrated reporter Peter King said that the Bengals will listen to trade offers for Palmer once the CBA is finalized. This is refreshing news to say the least but the frustration grows with the fact there is no agreement in sight between NFL owners and the NFL Players Association. The 49ers, Cardinals, and Seahawks are reported to be the interested teams willing to make a deal for Palmer. Now the question is what is Carson’s true value with the teams mentioned and will one of those probable team meets Brown's asking price?

Either way let’s hope this recent news by Peter King holds true and the Bengals get something in return for Palmer.
