You win some, you lose some…

Yesterdays Bengals loss to the underdog Dolphins at home stung without question. The spirited Bengals defense gave Dalton and company the chance to save the day trailing 17-13 late in the 4th quarter. The Bengals fell short when Dalton’s pass to Hawkins sailed high and was intercepted by the Dolphin’s Reshad Jones driving the final nail into the Bengals coffin. The Dolphins outplayed and beat the Bengals in front of a sold out crowd.

After the game was over, I was doing my normal twitter scrolling. I could not believe how many tweets I came across scorching Dalton. The Dolphins defense did a great job playing a zone style and slowing down Andy’s reads enough to let the pressure get to him. I am no Bill Walsh but I have not noticed a ton of teams taking away AJ Green and the middle of the field like Miami did on Sunday.

Kevin Coyle is the one that got away and is now the Dolphin’s defense coordinator. Coyle coached his tail off and put his team in a great position to win the game. Bengals fans need to understand this game is difficult and will not always go our way. When a player struggles this fan base is so quick to blast a player with hate and doubt. After seeing what the Chief fans did to Matt Castle. I can say we are not the worst fan base in the game today. If you have not seen this please watch and take note.

I would love to see more conviction from my fellow Bengals fans. This is not the 90’s and I know those dark days still haunt you. This is a new group of players who deserve a chance to make their own history. The NFL is the greatest show on earth. Bengals fans are lucky enough to have a team in our city that is competitive with a bright future. Suck it up Bengals fans and get ready for another tough game in Cleveland next weekend.
